- Select I²S Input
- Press the Mute button once to enter configuration mode
- Press the Phase button momentarily, 1X 2X 4X will turn on/off in a fixed pattern to denote binary 000-111
- Wait for 10s
- DAC back in operational mode
- Connect the I²S cable
- Turn down the volume (minimal)
- Play a familiar music (PCM first, followed by DSD)
- Run through the I²S setting of the DAC, 000-111
- One of the modes should match with the source for both PCM and DSD playback.
It’s recommended to go through the Audio Tone Test to make sure the L/R channel, in phase/out of phase correctness.
- Press the Mute button once to enter configuration mode
- Press Mode momentarily
– OPT LED On = Slow Filter
– OPT LED Off = Sharp Filter - Wait for 10s
- DAC back in operational mode
- Press the Mute button once to enter configuration mode
- Press INPUT+ momentarily, CO1, CO2 LED will turn on/off
– CO1 On = Dual AES/EBU Input Enabled
– CO2 Off = Dual AES/EBU Input Disabled - Wait for 10s
- Ares II back in operational mode
